Katrina (Kat) Reynolds was born in the Bahamas, where she stayed until she was five years old. At that time, she and her two loving and supportive parents moved to Guelph, Ontario. Right away she started singing, dancing and acting lessons and was performing in community theatre. Katrina always knew what it was that she was going to be doing for the rest of her life. Her parents say that she was a born performer.

Katrina’s vibrant personality and energetic spirit, along with her natural and organic talent, made it obvious what the next step was in pursuing her dream. For her post secondary education she would train at the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts. Randolph was the perfect place for Katrina to grow as an artist. During those years she became very passionate about acting and graduated as a Triple Threat, and was thrilled to play the role of Pennywise in Urinetown the Musical in her final graduating show. This was just the beginning of a blossoming career in Canadian musical theatre.

The day before graduating from Randolph, Katrina found out that she had been cast in her first professional show, HAIR at the Canadian Stage. Since that day she has lived her life on the stage, never ending a show without knowing when her next would begin.

She has performed in many theatre companies across Canada and the United States including The Shaw Festival, Stage West, Theatre Aquarius, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Charlottetown Festival, The Grand Theatre, Drayton Entertainment and The Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Katrina has also performed on Broadway in the critically acclaimed revival of Jesus Christ Superstar directed by the world renowned Des McAnuff. This also opened up opportunities such as performing on The 2012 Tony Awards!

After just recently playing two of her dream roles on stage (Gary Coleman in Avenue Q and Rusty in Footloose) Katrina has decided to make the move to beautiful Vancouver, BC to pursue film and television and voiceover work. Although she hopes to make a smooth transition into these industries she will continue her work on stage performing in the upcoming production of Godspell with the Arts Club Theatre.
