Kaela Willey
Dancer, Actor

Kaela Willey is a multi-disciplinary artist originating from Vancouver, BC, now living in Toronto, ON. Her roots as a dancer are in competitive jazz, contemporary, musical theatre and hip hop. She always had a passion for classical ballet, completing all her vocational examinations through the Royal Academy of Dance as part of her training.

She then began her pursuit of professional ballet with the pre-professional company Coastal City Ballet under Li Yaming. While there she worked with choreographers such as Erica Trivett, Josh Beamish, Wen Wei Wang, and Heather Laura Gray. She performed in many classical ballets during her time there, attaining soloist roles in Swan Lake, Hansel & Gretel, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, all choreographed by Irene Schneider. She danced with Ballet Victoria as an Aspirant for one season and performed in their ballets Dracula, The Gift, and Amadeus.

Since moving out East to Toronto, Kaela’s career has expanded into greater avenues. For two years in a row she has danced for Wondersee Entertainment and Cineplex with their national children’s Halloween show The Great Big Boo!, and dances in events across the city with KulKat Entertainment and Hit & Run Productions. She has also appeared on the cover and in a twelve page spread of Culture Magazin, and appeared in a commercial with Power Footwear and Bata Shoes for their new shoe line, Mello. She also continues pursuing her love for ballet, and has danced with Ballet Ouest de Montreal as a soloist in their Nutcracker. She aspires to continue to use her ability in film and television, and show her love for performance in a new way.”.
