At the age of 7 Malyssa Kae Lee or better known as “Kae Kae” Lee started her journey as the powerful performer she is today. Kae Kae started her training at AB Dance in Markham focusing on Jazz, Lyrical, and Acro. Kae Kae furthered her training extensively from the age 12 – 17 at Performing Dance Arts in Vaughn. At PDA she trained at high levels versatilely in Jazz, Contemporary, Vaganova Ballet, Acrobatics, Partnering, Hip Hop, Tap and Musical Theatre. Kae Kae credits PDA for her strong technique, athleticism and most importantly performance skills. PDA inspired Kae Kae to be the strong, captivating performer she is today.

During her competitive years Kae Kae won many national titles at competitions and conventions but some of her proudest moments during her competitive training include the Publishers Award at The York Region Celebration of Arts, Top 10 at the 2015 and 2016 Dance Awards, and was asked to be a member of Break the Floor’s Dancer Palooza “2016 Beat Squad” in Los Angeles. After various titles and accomplishments, Kae Kae moved on to the professional world at the ripe age of 18.

As a young professional Kae Kae is experiencing an exciting journey having already toured as a dancer alongside artists such as Emeli Sande, and Tina Guo in “Art on Ice” choreographed by Sean Cheesman. She performed 200 shows as a dancer/acrobat/diver in a year-long contract with Royal Caribbean’s show “The Fine Line”. She recently performed for an audience of 25,000 at Rotary International 2018. Kae Kae also works in film and television, she was featured as a principal dancer in Steven Song’s movie “Jazz Hands” and has been featured as an actress/dancer in shows such as “The Next Step” and “Backstage”. Kae Kae starred in MAC Cosmetics event “The Nutcracker Sweet”.

Kae Kae’s truest love is performing but recently she has also found a love for teaching. Kae Kae taught every day for 6 weeks at The International Skating Academy in Prague as the dance coach for 300 skaters ages 4 – 18. She also choreographed solos and taught technique, movement and most importantly, performance to these young figure skaters. It was one of the most inspiring events of her life and Kae Kae will now continue to teach/choreograph and hopes to share her knowledge of performance and dance to more young artists along the way.

Kae Kae will continue to work hard as an entertainer and build her role in the industry as a dancer, acrobat, actress, and teacher. She truly feels at home when on the stage and will undoubtedly entertain everyone in the audience. Performing is her truest love.
