Julien Naud was born and raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. Starting his training at the age of 4 in martial arts and dance, Julien grew up to achieve multiple national title in both art forms and become an extremely well-rounded physical mover. His skills are balanced with power and agility from training in Taekwondo; and he effortlessly demonstrates style and technique due to his training in multiple dance styles.
Julien’s professional journey began in Vancouver at the age of 18 where he trained at the city’s top facilities and quickly made a stamp in the community as one of the top performers. Julien has had the pleasure to work under the direction of many world-renowned directors and choreographers such as Kenny Ortega in Disney’s ‘Descendants’ 2 & 3 and Netflix’s ‘Julie and the Phantoms’. Other credits include Disney’s ‘Freaky Friday’, EA sports FIFA 2021, and NBC’s ‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’ with Emmy award winning choreographer- Mandy Moore.
Julien is currently directing the dance company Illustrative Society- training and shaping the minds of Vancouver’s next generation of leaders. With the company, he recently created the widely successful, sold out dance show – AWAKEN. Julien is excited and ready for what the future holds.
