“If you don’t build your dream, someone will hire you to help build theirs.”
– Marshmello

Josh Bogert was born and raised on the west coast of British Columbia where he enjoys the outdoors and all that the different seasons have to offer. He places a high level of importance on his physical and mental health and enjoys Crossfit, weight training, dancing, skiing, swimming, hiking, and dirt biking. His positive outlook and intuitive nature are refreshing for anyone who spends time with him.

Josh’s formal music education began at 4 years old with classical violin lessons and quickly expanded to a love of singing and playing guitar, saxophone, drums and piano, as well as a keen talent for DJing, song writing and music production.

Josh’s passion for the arts, his strong work ethic and his versatility has opened many doors. He has traveled across Canada and in the United States performing in theatres and arenas, as well as in venues such as, The Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, The Waikiki Shell in Honolulu and Carnegie Hall in New York City. Josh is signed to Cardinal Point Music, a label based in Toronto, and is very proud of his first self titled EP.

Josh’s introduction into the acting world was as a young man going to the prom in a popular Volkswagen Tiguan commercial. He has embraced the role of Mufasa in a highly acclaimed community production of The Lion King and continues to bring the often charismatic, and sometimes complicated, character of Miles Lennox to life in Family Channel’s “Backstage”. He is fortunate to have received a great deal of private coaching while acting on the set of “Backstage” for the last two seasons and continues to seek opportunities to hone his craft.

His natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning make Josh a high achiever academically, as well as on stage and in front of the camera. At the age of 16, Josh is an ambitious and hard working young man with a confidence, discipline and maturity beyond his years.
