Jess Vandenberg, originally from Ottawa, Ontario, spent 16yrs. training in various types of dance at Les Petits Ballet and Kanata Ballet School where as a young girl she got her first taste of performing in such places as the National Arts Centre.
After graduating High School she moved to South Florida to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, where she studied Dance Performance and English. During her first year there, she performed at the Kravis Center, and was also recruited to join the Cheer team. On her summer break, she auditioned and was cast in the original company for the world premiere production of Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story: The Musical.
Jess then moved to Toronto to also pursue a Film and Television career. Not long after settling in, she joined the da Costa family and was cast as a recurring character on HBO’s Lingerie, season one. The following year she was brought back as a lead for season two.
Since then she has also danced on the hit series Being Erica, and guest starred on Urban Legends for the History Channel. She is currently enrolled at Sheridan College in the Music Theatre Program.
