CAEA

Jennifer Lynch is a dancer, singer, and actor born and raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. At six years old, Jennifer began taking dance lessons at a local dance studio and has never looked back! She grew up dancing and competing in various styles from tap to contemporary and everything in between. At just 13 years old, she was the only Canadian to be selected to tour with the American dance group, Hoctor’s Dance Caravan. While on tour, her dreams of becoming a performer were solidified, and she returned home with a new love for the art. She trained rigorously for the next five years, traveling all over North America winning numerous scholarships at dance conventions and competitions.

After graduating from high school, Jennifer packed up her bags and moved to Vancouver to pursue the Arts. In 2013 she was accepted into Capilano University’s Musical Theatre program where she spent the next three years training. She graduated with Honours on The Dean’s List in the summer of 2016 and has been working steadily in the industry ever since. Some of her favourite theatre credits include Zaneeta Shinn in The Music Man (Gateway Theatre), Lisa in Mamma Mia! (Arts Club), Fritzie in Cabaret, Charity in Anything Goes (Royal City Musical Theatre), and Velma in West Side Story (Theatre Under the Stars).

Jennifer was fortunate enough to be cast in The Arts Club’s production of Beauty and The Beast, two years in a row where she received the Ovation award for outstanding Chorus Gypsy for her ensemble work. She was nominated for the same award the following year for her work as Lisa in The Art Club’s production of Mamma Mia! as well as for her work in Royal City Musical Theatre’s production of Cabaret. Jennifer’s extensive training in not only dance, but musical theatre has led her to be a versatile and well-rounded performer. With her hard work ethic and determination to grow as a triple threat performer, Jennifer continues to make huge strides in her artistic development and is always ready to embrace the next opportunity.
