“Seek out that particular mental attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along with which comes the inner voice which says, ‘This is the real me,’ and when you have found that attitude, follow it.”
– James Truslow Adams

Born in Kelowna BC, James Edward Jurome moved to Vancouver after graduating from high school. After struggling to find a career direction, James discovered hairdressing at the age of 23. With his remarkable ability to learn quickly and a keen eye for style, James has been a successful hairstylist ever since; and has recently opened his own salon Life & Colour.

James had an unconventional introduction to the entertainment industry. Having been continuously exposed to the performance arts through many of his clients, in 2009 James began to take dance classes through various local dance schools, focusing on ballet and jazz. In 2011, James was approached by and consequently signed with a Canadian modeling agency Numa Models and has participated in several fashion and runway shows, including Vancouver Fashion Week.

In his ever present desire for creative expression, James began studying acting after having been sent on a few commercial auditions. The idea of performing in front of an audience and on camera appealed to James, and seemed to suit his naturally outgoing and ambitious personality. He was given feedback from his first coach that he had one of the fastest learning curves for acting that she had witnessed.

James has since been attending acting classes at Vancouver’s ACT2 studio and auditioning regularly.
