Jak Barradell
Actor, Singer, Dancer
“Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die.”
– Mel Brooks

Jak Barradell is a performer from Northern British Columbia. He discovered at a young age that his true passion lies in entertainment and he began singing and dancing before the age of ten.

Immediately after high school Jak worked and traveled extensively as a singer/dancer with Cunard, Celebrity and NYK cruise lines. Later, after graduating from Capilano University’s Musical Theatre program in North Vancouver, Jak made his professional theatre debut with the Arts Club Theatre Company as ‘Luke’ in Altar Boyz (2009 & 2012). Other theatre credits include ‘Neleus’ in Mary Poppins(Citadel/Theatre Calgary), Semele, Falstaff (Canadian Opera), West Side Story (Rainbow Stage), Cabaret (Manitoba Theatre Company), Cats, Anne Of Green Gables (Theatre Calgary), Hairspray, White Christmas, Mary Poppins (Arts Club), ‘Al DeLuca’ in A Chorus Line (RCMT), ‘Willard’ in Footloose (Exit 22), and ‘Agwe’ in Once On This Island (Arbutus Studio).

Jak likes to daydream of bringing back original movie musicals of the 40’s and 50’s, reminiscent of Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire and his personal favourite Donald O’Connor. When he’s not singing, dancing or acting, Jak can be found studying martial arts, playing guitar, or snowboarding and skateboarding his cares away.
