Jade Whitney, Toronto-born artist has been dancing both professionally and competitively from a young age. She has received extensive training at Vlad’s Dance Company in a variety of styles including contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, acro, tap, and more. She has worked with choreographers such as Luther Brown, The Squared Division, Teddy Forance, Peter Chu, Emma Portner, Michael Riccio, Hani Abaza, Neil Schwartz, Caroline Torti, Addy Chan and more. Jade is a graduate of Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, where she majored in dance and vocal music. Jade has attended various training programs with companies such as Dana Foglia Dance in L.A and the Ailey School Summer Intensive in NYC.

Jade’s film/television credits include Suicide Squad (David Ayer), The Strain (Guillermo del Toro, Carlton Cuse) choreographed by Roberto Campanella, Make It Pop (Nick Cannon, Tommy Lynch) choreographed by Addy Chan, Aaliyah: Princess of R&B (Bradley Walsh) choreographed by Luther Brown, YTV’s The Next Star (Tricon Films) choreographed by Michael Riccio, Assassin’s Creed (Ubisoft), and Warrior (Phillip Noyce). Jade has danced for artists such as Nick Jonas, Deborah Cox, Blake McGrath and Lights. Jade has danced for corporations such as MAC Cosmetics, General Motors, TD Bank, Staples the Lion’s Club International, Sony, and Lia Sophia. She has performed live at the World Pride 2014 Closing Ceremony, the One Year Launch of the 2015 Pan-Am Games, the Canadian National Exhibition and more. She has also danced in Toronto-based companies such as Transcendance (Julia Cratchley), Bridge To Artists (Vlad), and The Girls Club (Tamina Pollack-Parris). In 2013, Jade co-directed and choreographed Fill Up & Get Out with Emma Portner.

Jade teaches and choreographs at various competitive studios. She also teaches her own drop-in class at the Underground Dance Centre in the heart of downtown Toronto. Jade’s hard work, passion and determination will drive her to continue successfully in the entertainment industry. She is beyond excited for where her career will take her!
