Jade McLeod
Actor, Dancer, Singer
“Lead with love, and you can’t go wrong.”

Growing up just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Jade is a naturally born country girl. Feeling most at home surrounded by animals (particularly dogs and horses) in the great outdoors, Jade fell backwards into the theatre community through her love of music. While in majoring in Trumpet at O’Neill CVI’s elite Performing Arts Program, Jade spent her high school years immersed in creativity, and was given every opportunity to expand her own artistry through dance, vocal performance, orchestra, jazz band, and of course, theatre. Jade was even lucky enough to travel to Lisbon, Portugal on tour with the school’s jazz band, as both a Trumpet player and Vocalist, and credits that experience for her love of travel and culture.

A natural born singer, Jade studied Opera with the Royal Conservatory of Music for several years, completing her Grade Nine level, before finding her place at St Clair College’s Music Theatre program. During her college years, Jade found her rock sound as Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show, as well as confidence as a dance artist, performing in a variety of St Clair’s shows as a strong ensemble dancer.

Shortly after graduation, Jade found herself singing and dancing aboard the Carnival Imagination, a cruise ship sailing out of California, which was immediately followed by back-to-back contracts at Stage West Calgary, including Legends of Country and Mamma Mia! .

A driven learner and a true triple threat performer, Jade can often be found honing her dance abilities at Metro Movement or the Underground Dance Centre, or at the Jane Moffat studio, finding new depths as an actor and creator. On her off days, Jade will be found riding her horse along the trails of Uxbridge with her dog in stride, or behind a piano transforming all of her wildest emotions into music.
