Jaclyn Herder
Singer, Dancer, Actor
CAEA Apprentice
“Jaclyn Herder’s comedic timing was spot on, along with her soaring soprano she brought real life to the character.”
– Times Colonist, Victoria BC

Jaclyn Herder’s love for the stage began at a very young age. Originally from Sherwood Park, Alberta, she studied various fields of dance at Shelley’s Dance Company in Edmonton, and has had the opportunity to work with esteemed choreographers as Stacey Tookey, Kevin Tookey, Jacques Lemay, Rolann Owens and Lisa Stevens.

At the age of 17, she was fortunate enough to receive the Dr. Dasha Goody Foundation scholarship, as well as a full scholarship to attend the Music Theatre Bavaria Summer Workshop in Oberaudorf, Germany. She attended the workshop straight out of high school before being accepted to The Canadian College of Performing Arts located in Victoria, BC, graduating in 2010 with honors.

Jaclyn was thrilled to have her first contract with Theatre Calgary’s newly imagined production of Anne of Green Gables complete with new orchestrations by Dave Pierce.

Her love of performing arts branches out beyond the stage, having had the opportunity to act as Stage Manager, Choreographer, Costume Designer, and Festival Coordinator for various projects throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
