Gabrielle Trudel was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She started dancing at the age of 3 and began her acting career shortly after at the age of 11. Gabrielle realized that she had found her passions and could not imagine her life without them.
Gabrielle’s acting career took off in 2015 when she appeared in principal roles on two television series, Haven and The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. She won a Joey Award for Best Young Actress in a Recurring Role on a TV Series for her work on Haven and was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a TV Series. Since then Gabrielle has gained additional experience in film, commercials, radio, theatre and print through a number of projects, such as a principal role in the Lifetime Movie “Escaping the NXIVM Cult” and many others.
Gabrielle studies numerous styles of dance including ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, hip hop, jazz, musical theatre/theatre jazz, tap, latin and acrobatics. Her diversity has allowed her to win numerous awards as a soloist and group dancer over the years. Some of these achievements include Millennium Dance Productions Star Soloist, Fever International Dance Championships Face of Fever, View Dance Challenge two times Greece Intensive Invitee, View Dance Challenge Convention Senior Most Potential Dancer and many more. Her professional works include Votive Dance Company shows, ProArteDanza’s SIP Showcase and others. Gabrielle has been fortunate enough to train with world renowned dance faculty and hopes to continue training to be a successful working dancer in the industry.
Outside of dance and acting, Gabrielle has been successful in other interests as well. She has worked both in print and runway modelling, including walking for Atlantic Fashion Week. She has many special skills including singing, competitive swimming, fluency in French and many more. Gabrielle is a hard-working, passionate and driven artist who continues to strive and work towards reaching new goals and improving as an actor and a dancer. She is looking forward to pushing and exploring her craft in exciting new opportunities.
