“Be who you were created to be and you will set the world on fire”
– St. Catherine

Emma-Krysta is a 12 year old dancer whose love for the stage began at the age of 2 and a half when she took her first ballet class. Since then her passion for dance has continued to grow. She became part of the competitive team at her studio Tha Spot Dance Centre at the age of 6. Currently she trains in many styles of dance: ballet, acro, jazz, hip hop, dancehall, tap and contemporary. Emma-Krysta regularly attends dance conventions and drop in classes to develop her skills as she strives to continually better herself in her art.

Some of her credits include promotional advertising for the GRIT Dance bag and Children’s Hip Hop Dance classes at DanceLifeX. Recently she had the chance to perform on stage with Shawn Desman at the Canada 150 celebrations.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, swimming, jumping on her trampoline and improv dancing. Her bubbly personality, determination and hard work ethic make her a mature and fun-loving person that loves performing and working with others.

Emma-Krysta’s goal is to one day be a professional dancer, and choreographer. In the meantime she hopes that through her artistic journey she can be a good role model to others. She has also had the opportunity to be an ambassador for the 24 Strong Girls, an organization that promotes female empowerment. Emma-Krysta believes that girls need to be strong to achieve their own goals. As a girl you should always, “Love yourself, respect yourself and believe in yourself. Once you can do this anything is possible!”
