“It’d be a shame to stop now that I’ve started to make really good mistakes.”
– Sara Bareilles

Elora Joy Sarmiento is a dedicated student in the joint Musical Theatre Program between St. Lawrence College and Queen’s University. Growing up in Markham, Ontario, she attended Unionville High School in the Arts Unionville Vocal Program, where she trained in chamber and concert choirs. Elora found comfort and solace through song from a young age, which stemmed into her love for performance and theatre.

Elora has always kept herself busy, participating in several community theatre productions as well as co-captaining the UHS Show Choir during her high school education. She has been awarded the Bob & Lorna Richardson Scholarship (UHS) and the Jacqueline Brougham Memorial Award (SLC) for her passion and commitment to her artform.

Elora looks forward to continuing her education and is excited to keep growing and learning as a performer with DaCosta.
