Ella Wejr

UBCP/ACTRA

Growing up with your best friend can be such a powerful experience. Ella Wejr (she/her) lives this every day as she goes to school, dances, sings, and hangs out with her twin sister, Ellexis.

Being the daughter of a dance studio owner has led Ella to feel the rhythm since before she could walk and has given her the opportunity to dance and sing since the age of the 3. These years of experience have led her to find her passion for performing on stage and behind the camera.

Ella entered the world of TV and film with a principal role on The Twilight Zone and then continued with a supporting lead role in Operation Bring Back Christmas and a lead voiceover role in the Momolu and Friends series. She has continued to expand her skillset behind the camera with acting, singing, and dancing roles on shows such as Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas, Schmigadoon!, and Hallmark’s Our Italian Christmas Memories.

She currently dances competitively at Kick It Up A Notch Academy of Dance. There, she studies ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, musical theatre and acro. She has won numerous high-level awards both in her groups and as a duet with her sister and has represented the dance studio in Royal Academy of Dance ballet examinations, talent competitions, parades, and festivals.

When she is not at dance or in acting classes and coaching sessions, she enjoys quiet spaces to tap into her creative side and develop her skills as a talented painter and singer. Her beautiful artwork has been on display at local fairs, and she has sung in choirs and as a soloist on film sets and in front of full theatres and schools.

She also cherishes her time on outings with her family and being a big sister to her little brother. Her fondest memories include camping and swimming with her family, cruising on her vintage bike with her sister, playing soccer and basketball with her friends, and snuggling with her 110lb Bullmastiff, Aurora. As a leader in her school, she continually strives to make sure every child feels included and has a sense of belonging in school.
