Courtney is from Woodbridge Ontario where she trained at Performing Dance Arts since the age of 5. She participated in national dance competitions across Canada and the US in jazz, tap, ballet/point, acro, samba, hip hop, lyrical/contemporary and musical theatre. During the young years of her dance training she was able to work with choreographers from Canada and the US including, Trudy Moffat, Danny Poland, Tyce Diorio, Dee Caspary and Marty Kudelka, to name a few. She continued her dance training at Ryerson University under the instruction of Nadia Potts, Vicki St.Denys and Karen Duplisea. At Ryerson she had the opportunity to work with Toronto’s most notable choreographers such as Matjash Mrozewski, Robert Glumbeck, Kenny Pearl and Allen Kaeja. She graduated in 2011 with an honours degree and B.A in Performance Dance. This is where she discovered her true passion for the art of dance and theatre.
Along with extensive dance training Courtney has a passion for music and singing working with producers such as Marcus Kane and training with Elaine Overholt, Lorraine Lawson and Falconer Abraham. From a young age she has participated in public speaking competitions and won national awards and has since then been a host and spokesperson for various businesses and products. Courtney auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance Canada season 1,2 and 4 and made it to the top 50, in hopes of one day making the shows top 20. Most recently she appeared in the Bollywood movie entitled, Thankyou and can be seen in various commercials and music videos.
Courtney is a certified A.D.A.P.T dance teacher and currently teaches at Performing Dance Arts. She also performs Samba at the Copa Cabanna in Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Courtney was born to perform and has a natural stage presence that cannot be taught. She is eager to live her life on the stage and in front of cameras, as the entertainment industry is her true calling.
