Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C, Cailey’s love for performing began at the early age of three, and has developed into an ongoing passion of hers. Ever since her first performance, Cailey realized the stage was a place she was meant to be, and that it would soon become her home away from home.
Currently dancing with Affinity Dance, Cailey is trained in styles such as jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theatre and tap. Over the years of dance, she has found many ways to exude her pure joy and love of this art form, through expression and motion. This talent has carried over to her schooling as she attends Langley Fine Arts School as a dance major. While there she participates in “Esprit De Corps”; a dance company that has traveled to Miami, Florida and performed at the National High School Dance Festival.
Being at the fine arts school has also given Cailey the opportunity to branch out into other outlets of performing, such as acting. In her acting, musical theatre, and improvisation classes she was able to develop and expand her skills as well as her animated personality. Realizing the potential and exuberance this has brought, Cailey plans to further pursue this interest by enrolling in acting classes and workshops.
While at Affinity Dance, Cailey has had the opportunity to perform at local and world class events. Some of these events include; The 2008 Canada Cup International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament, The 2008 and 2010 Pacific National Exhibition, and the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Paralympic Games.
Cailey hopes her passion and love for what she does will open the door to opportunity. The opportunity to learn, experience and embrace. Learn from each new day and what it brings, experience all adventures big or small, and embrace each performance wholeheartedly.
