Belladonna Defranco is a bilingual actress who was born in Ottawa and moved to the Muskokas at the age of 2. She then became involved in dance, gymnastics and trail racing both by running and by mountain bike. She has participated in triathlons since the age of 4.

Belladonna has expressed a love for acting in TV and Film before attending kindergarten. Her family would drive from Orillia to Toronto every weekend for her to attend youth courses at LB Acting Studio and when her family and instructors noted her natural gift of performance, her family made the move closer to the GTA and now resides in Hamilton.

Currently, Belladonna trains in the professional ballet program at Hamilton Academy of Performing Arts, where she also studies dramatic arts, vocal, music theory and violin. Her ballet instructors are Melania Pawliw and Max Ratevosian a former instructor at National Ballet of Canada and National Ballet School. Belladonna retains a straight A average at school and enjoys expanding on her performance skills daily.

Most recently, Belladonna participated in comedy and animation courses for youth at The Infinity Forge working with Christian Potenza. She continues to train with Christian Potenza and Stephanie Yelovich regularly at The Infinity Forge to enrich her acting skills and experience.

In 2019, Belladonna was cast as a Lead Actress in the short film Fever. This film is expected to be shown at various film festivals in 2020. Belladonna has also been fortunate to have worked on the set of Awake (2020). Her highlighted event was teaching Gina Rodriguez a song she had wrote about guacamole and singing together while waiting on set.

This past spring Belladonna began to take Hip Hop dance lessons from Guy Groove of LA Playground and is also being mentored through JJ Dance Arts where she learns dance techniques, attends conditioning sessions and various workshops.

Belladonna enjoys swimming in her family pool, playing with her doll house and of course with friends. Her family is involved with community service and she herself is a member of Toronto Kids 2 Kids. Toronto K2K is a non-profit organization consisting of a group of kids in the entertainment industry giving back to the community. This group is involved with toy drives, Christmas bear delivery and fundraising including a fashion show which raises money towards building playgrounds for sick and special needs children in the greater GTA.

In the summer of 2019, Belladonna received a scholarship with Cadence Dance Finals after she placed 1st with her improv solo in the under 18 division at a regional competition. She also placed 3rd overall at Bedazzled Dance Finals with her acro solo and first year as a dance soloist.
