Ashley St. John

Ashley St. John (She/Her) is a professional triple threat performer, teacher, and choreographer. With training in performing arts and competitive dance, Ashley has achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University with Honours. She is the recipient of the Theatre and Dance Program Award presented by Nadia Potts in 2014.

Ashley’s selected credits include: Emmy Award winning, Schmigadoon seasons 1 & 2 (Apple TV+/Christopher Gattelli), Stephen King’s: In the Tall Grass (Netflix/Cooperheart Ent.), Mas (CBC/Danny Davalos), Rise (Shaftesbury R&J Inc./Moze Mossanen), Sillabub in Cats (CAA Theatre/Mirvish), Velma in West Side Story, Apache Dancer in Joseph … Dreamcoat (Drayton Entertainment), two seasons at the Charlottetown festival where she was awarded the 2019 Don Harron Scholarship, Featured Dancer/Acrobat(Celebrity Cruise Entertainment), Featured Dancer (Canadian Opera Company). Ashley has worked as Dance Captain, Swing, and Understudy on numerous productions, assisting director/choreographers Lisa Stevens, Robin Calvert, Julio Fuentes, and Cirque Du Soleil’s Julie Perron.

Ashley has performed at countless award shows, charities, and festivals including: David Foster’s Miracle Gala, Contessa Awards, Parapan Games, Panamanian Festival, Toronto Fringe Festival, Kerry’s Place Autism Service, Theatre Making Movement, A.C.E. Awards, and Canada’s Wonderland. She has attended Springboard Danse Montreal, and worked alongside Proartedanza, Gadfly, Hanna Kiel, Aszure Barton & Artists, and Les Production Haut-Vol.

Ashley is a certified dance teacher under the B.A.T.D and has extensively trained under the Acrobatic Arts Curriculum. Ashley has taught for both the City of Oshawa, Montessori School, and is often a guest teacher and choreographer in the high schools and dance studios in the GTA. She has been a faculty member at Jacqueline’s School Dance since 2010.

An active living enthusiast, Ashley has a passion for professional stunt work, hiking, yoga, swimming, running, trampoline, and ice skating. As a personal goal she has dedicated herself to learning various facets of the circus arts.  She continues to explore new sports and activities and is a fierce competitor with a fire for being the best. Ashley enjoys creating and directing concept videos with her partner Evan and playing guitar. She has been approved to work in the U.K. under the Youth Scheme Mobility Visa (Valid June 2023-June 2025.)  Ashley loves to take on new avenues, expand her knowledge, and is eager to explore the scenery and industry of Europe.
