Originally from the Dominican Republic, Annick is a classical ballerina, musical theater actress, and singer who is currently finishing her fourth year in the Music Theatre Performance Program at Sheridan College. Annick has had the opportunity to perform in numerous dance shows such as: Amor Brujo, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Hot Jazz, and Sleeping Beauty among others in Ballet Clasico Santiago, a Cuban ballet school in her hometown Santiago, where she trained for more than eight years.

Annick wplayed Soupy Sue in Theatre Sheridan’s Urinetown production and feels ready to share the knowledge and skills acquired during my many years of performance preparation. As a BIPOC actor, she believes in theatre as a tool that can spur social change and resist oppression. Annick has also worked for several theatre companies in her country and last year she started her own musical theatre intensive geared towards kids with disabilities in order to provide more opportunities for this specific population.

In May 2019, Annick graduated with the Two-Year Enriched Performing Arts Diploma from the Canadian College of Performing Arts where she played Rosalia in West Side Story at the McPherson Playhouse. In 2020, while returning home due to the pandemic, Annick performed in large-ensemble-based productions such as Cats and Alice in Wonderland where her practical skills and stamina were magnified due to the high demanding numbers both shows require.

In 2015, she later graduated from Ballet Clasico Santiago obtaining the professional title of classical ballerina and pedagogy in levels I and II. In addition to dance, Annick developed a devotion for musical theatre in her last three years of high school where she performed Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. She has performed in shows such as Aladdin, The Great Gatsby, Rodgers, and Hammerstein’s Cinderella among others in the national theatre of her country.
