Anna Hurshman
Actor, Singer, Dancer
CAEA Apprentice
“As Elle Woods, Hurshman’s comedic timing is near-perfect and her singing voice is enviable. She makes it seem like there’s no one else who could play the part.”
– Ilan Mester, Ryersonian Staff

Anna Hurshman is a force to be reckoned with. Known for her quirky personality and “girl-next-door” look, Anna has already played a wide range of characters from Elle Woods in Legally Blonde to Maria in West Side Story.

Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Anna’s first professional production was in Oliver! at the Neptune Studio Theatre. She immediately fell in love with musical theatre and went on to study in the Intensive Training Program at Halifax Dance. After being cast in The Young Company, Anna had the privilege of touring schools throughout the province and also performing in the annual production of The Nutcracker accompanied by Symphony Nova Scotia.

High School musicals only reinforced her love of theatre so from there, Anna went on to audition for the prestigious Music Theatre program at Sheridan College. With the support of scholarships from the Nova Scotia Talent Trust, Anna graduated early at the top of her class with honors to begin her professional career.

Since graduating, Anna has been working consistently across Canada, all while singing, dancing and acting her heart out. Keep an eye on this up and coming performer who is thrilled to be a part of the Canadian Theatre scene.
