Aidan Grierson
Actor, Dancer
“I am eager to watch Aidan’s career take off, blossom, spread out, flourish. He is quick to respond to character and character development and working with him, collaborating with him, it is hard to know where each of us starts and stops. He has great instincts and imagination.”
– -James Kudelka, former artistic director of the National Ballet of Canada, choreographer.

Born in Kitchener Ontario, Aidan Grierson has always had a love for performing and was featured on stage from a young age in his mother’s ballet school productions.

He began training and competing at age 6 in ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop, and soon after he was performing in Drayton Entertainment’s Robin Hood, The Wizard of Oz, and Oliver. At age 10, he was accepted to Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto where he moved into residence and studied until he graduated from Grade 12 as an Ontario Scholar. There, he performed in the National Ballet of Canada’s The Nutcracker for three years and played the role of the Nutcracker Prince in Canada’s Ballet Jörgen touring production. Other feature roles include the Nerd in Oakville Ballet’s Elite Syncopations, the ballet master in Napoli and Carabosse’s assistant in James Kudelka’s new production called Beauty Awakens.

As a contemporary dancer, Aidan has trained at the School of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in NYC, Arts Umbrella in Vancouver BC and Elite Danceworx in Ontario.

Other relevant training includes Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Yorkshire Ballet Summer schools (teachers: D.Peden – Royal Ballet; R. Cervera – Royal Ballet; Z.Yanowsky-Royal Ballet; N. Westmoreland – Northern Ballet), and Drayton Entertainment’s Youth Musical Theatre program as performer and dance captain (David Connolly).

Aidan looks forward to bringing the strengths of his classical ballet training into other work in musical theatre, film and television.
