Ahria McNichol

Ahria was born and raised in Surrey, BC and started entertaining and dancing almost before she could walk! She entered the studio world in 2010 when she was just 3 years old and began dancing competitively when she was 5.

Ahria now trains at Fusion Force Dance Studio in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop. She is a strong dancer and performer who has been presented with numerous scholarships and awards over the years. She enhances her training by attending workshops, conventions and intensive programs whenever she can and is thereby recognized for her exceptional versatility as a dancer. In 2017 she competed with Team Canada at the World Championships for Hip Hop in Copenhagen, Denmark, and as well recently received a mark of Distinction on her Level 8 Vaganova Ballet Exam! Ahria’s confidence, fearlessness and determination has also made her incredibly strong in Acrobatics and Contortion. In recognition of these outstanding skills, when attending the Honours Performance for PEAK Invitational Dance Competition, she was awarded a full scholarship to the Circus Lab Summer Program.

Ahria is a born performer and leader. Her humour, her energy, her passion for dance and life in general – not to mention her strong work ethic and tenacity, is addictive and infectious! Ahria lights up the room wherever she goes and her drive to succeed and better herself, whilst helping others do the same, is admirable.

Ahria trains 20+ hrs per week but is also an excellent student who somehow manages to fit in time for school sports too! When she isn’t dancing, you can find her swimming like a fish, hiking and biking, or tumbling and trampolining. She thrives on spending time with friends, family and her animals, chatting with new people and making new friends. Ahria is looking forward to incorporating more acting into her career.
