Born and raised in Edmonton, Abbygale Chung has been a part of the performing industry for the last decade. From early on, Abby idolized versatile, adaptable dancers. She trained with NXG Company for 6 years, and went ahead winning first place at World of Dance Los Angeles, Hawaii and Edmonton. Continuing her technical training with Shelley Tookey, Abby strived to become as versatile as possible, and pushes herself to perform across genres. Her well-rounded talent has aided her pursuit of diverse professional opportunities including starring in national ad campaigns (7-Eleven Canada, Honda Motors, Ford), supporting various recording artists (Lia Cole Asia Tour, Janet Jackson in Edmonton), and attending Los Angeles’ Millennium Dance Complex Certificate Program (with the support of an Alberta Arts Foundation grant.)

Upon her return to Canada from training extensively in Los Angeles, Abby has been credited in multiple television and film roles, including CW’s Riverdale, Lifetime TV’s Undercover Cheerleader, and The Masked Singer Canada. Most recently, Abby served as lead choreographer for a commercial in partnership with PlanIt Sound. In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Chung teaches internationally as a resident choreographer and instructor in Dubai (UAE), serves as faculty for various intensives in Guangzhou and Amsterdam, and has travelled with VIP Dance Convention across Canada as a choreographer’s assistant. She currently teaches weekly slots at Studio North Dance Complex and Harbour Dance Center in Vancouver, with a specific focus on Jazz Funk, merging her technical and hip hop training. Abby never stops at the opportunity to level up. This is the driving force behind her creativity, work ethic and leadership.
