Alexa Loo is a Chinese-Canadian actor from Vancouver, Canada. Currently, Alexa appears as series regular in the TBS’ sitcom comedy, “Chad” created by Saturday Night Live alum, Nasim Pedrad. Alexa portrays “Denise,” a high school frenemy and rival of Chad (Pedrad), a 14-year-old Iranian-American boy trying to catapult in popularity at a new school through a series of awkward encounters and mannerisms. The breakout series premiered April 6, 2021 on TBS to 1.9 million viewers – marking a debut high for the new series as the “top-rated cable comedy of 2021” with Alexa already being defined as a “sleeper star” of the series.

At an early age, Alexa was drawn to her love of the arts, which resulted in her parents enrolling her into a fine arts elementary school where she excelled in art, dance, and theatre. At the age of 13, Alexa was accepted into a professional ballet training program, but declined the opportunity in order to pursue an acting career. That same year, Alexa successfully booked her first audition for the reoccurring role of “Phan Hu” on the cult series “Rogue.”

Her other TV credits include: DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” and Disney Channel’s “Gabby Duran and the Unsittables,” where she first showcased her expertise as a dancer to a national audience.

In addition to acting and dancing, Alexa is extremely proud of her Asian heritage and is an outspoken advocate pushing to see more diversity and Asian representation in film and television. Raised in Vancouver, Alexa is also very passionate about environmentalism and outspoken about urging a cleaner and greener Earth for future generations.

In her spare time in between acting and school, Alexa continues to train and compete in many different disciplines of dance. She also enjoys creative writing, traveling, and painting.
